I'm Ballin', We Ball Out

So I found myself tonight really bored after I had all my homework done. (Of course...)  I watched a little thing called Bauer Hour on tv tonight.  Yes, for you "24" fans out there, I miraculously sat down and watched the show for literally the second time ever.  I can't decide if I like it.  But, that isn't the purpose of this particular post, but maybe sometime it will be.  So after Bauer Hour, I decided to watch tv, only to find one of the worst reality tv shows ever!!  More on that  in a bit.  So I saw what was on and I told myself that I would rather be playing video games.  For the past few weeks, I have been ADDICTED to NBA Live '07. Yes that's right, '07.  I was on a mission to beat the West All-Star team.  First, I decided to be any old team, just to see how good my gaming skills were.  Mind you, I'm playing on Superstar mode (the hardest mode), and I'm playing a team with an overall rating of 99 (the best in the game).  I chose to be the New Jersey Nets.  Of course they still had Richard Jefferson, Vince Carter, and Jason Kidd.  I fell 6 points short.  I felt confident for my next game because the Nets overall rating is a 86.  The next game I was the New Orleans Hornets, which had basically the exact same roster then as they do now.  Their rating was 82 and I got destroyed.  I lost by more than 20.  I was a little discouraged but I was sure I could do it my next game.  I was the Cleveland Cavaliers.  Their rating is an 89.  There roster isn't really that great but I figured Lebron James would do some MAJOR damage.  Well, Lebron didn't help me out at all and I lost for the 3rd straight time.  This time by 15.  So I tried the nets again, and got destroyed again!  So I quit.  OK, Present Day-- I was bored so I tried it again.  I told myself that I was going to only play 2 games tonight and be in bed by 1 am.  Well, that never works with me!  So, I was the All-Addidas team and their rating was an 85.  They have Kevin Garnett, Chauncey Billups, and Dwight Howard just to name a few.  But the game was close and I FINALLY beat them.  I won by only 6.  Then I thought to myself that maybe I only won because I had some REALLY good players.  So I started to play my second game of the night and I went back to the Cavs.  This time I put Lebron at point gaurd.  The game was a good game.  I led most of the game, and got a little nervous in the 3rd quarter as they cut my lead to 1 and then went up by 4 eventually.  But, I pulled it out in the end.  Here's the catch.  The first time Lebron didn't do anything for me.  This time he had 42 points, 13 assists, 9 Steals, 9 Rebounds, 1 Block, and only 1 turnover.  The game was in the 80s and yes that means LBJ had half of my points. So I decided to play the East All-Stars.  They have Shaq (back when he was good), Lebron, and Allen Iverson (who was sweet in '07).  I decided to be the Portland Trail Blazers. HA, what a great choice by me.  Even though the East has a rating of 99, the West is WAY BETTER!!  Portland's rating was an 82 or 83 I think.  I have Brandon Roy (and is pronounced the AMERICAN way, sorry Canada), Darius Miles (Back when he was a thug, oh my bad, he still is.), and Raef LaFrentz.  Raef is probably one of my favorite NBA players of all time.  He is right up there with MJ, LBJ, Larry Bird, and then there is RL (Raef LaFrentz).  So anyway, in the game RL has a 3 point rating of 70 which is extremely good for a guy who is 6'11.  He missed EVERY 3 pointer he took.  And I was bound and determined to have him make at least one, meaning I just kept shooting with him.  It was amazing he could be right on the line for a 2 and he would swoosh it, but as soon as he was behind the line, he would just throw up brick after brick.  The weird part is that Darius Miles had a 3 point rating of 41 and he went 2-4 from the 3 point line.  So I was up by 6 basically the whole game as we traded buckets back and forth.  Then they pulled ahead with 1:30 left.  I had to take  a player out and put in either Dan Dickau or Juan Dixon.  Well I moved RL down to the low post and put in Juan Dixon, which is possibly the best move I have ever made in my whole video gaming experiences.  JD comes in and drills 2 three pointers right away, back to back.  He was my game changer!  He pulled me ahead and then drilled 2 free throws late in the game to seal the win for me.  JD had 8 Points. Brandon Roy had a triple double, which I was completely oblivious to until I saw that he was player of the game.  My big story of that game was RL though.  He had a team high 16 points and was only five points behind LBJ for the most in the game.  Every made shot that RL had was a two pointer. HA amazing.  So I stopped playing and decided to tell you about my past troubles and recent successes.

Now, let's talk about reality tv.  OK, there are good shows and just flat out terrible shows.  Lets talk about the good shows first.  Real World-- Usually 7 strangers living together always makes a great show.  This time, they decided to put 8 strangers together.  It is just a great show, flat out.  Chet is a mormon and he always wears purple and a 59-50 hat with his name spelled on real big like CHET.  My guess is, because he is a mormon, he forgets how to say his name or spell it, or might even just not know his name.  Ryan is an Iraq war-vet and he is probably the coolest person there.  It's only a matter of time before Ryan dumps his girlfriend for Baya.  Scott is pretty cool too.  Sarah has a huge heart, and it's always fun watching and seeing what she does every episode. JD is cool i guess.  I don't really see him much during the episodes except for when he shaving creamed Ryan's room and Ryan while Ryan was sleeping.  I don't know what to think about Katelynn, so I just won't talk about her.  The only person who gets to me is Devyn.  Apparently in next week's episode we find out that she is engaged??  But, she is just annoying!  She has something to say everytime someone says something.  She thinks she is the smartest and most beautiful person ever.  NEWS FLASH-- you aren't!
Moving on to Fantasy Factory--I was torn to see Big Black leave the show Rob and Big, but am elated that Rob has decided to keep on truckin'.  Rob Dyrdek is just hilarious.  I mean watch the show on Sundays at 9 et because you really just have to watch the show to see what I'm talking about.  I am amazed by the things that he does with his life!  How's Your News?--Another funny show!  It's about people who were born with disabilities.  They go around and interview famous people and one of the kids is just so focused on pickin' up chicks that he even had John Stamos help him out.  It's on Sundays at 10:30 et.  Nitro Circus--It's like a Jackass but without the grossness and stupidness.  They just have fun with their lives and fool around and made a show while they were at it.  It's on Sundays at 10 et.

Now to the terrible shows.  Anything that has anything to do with love, (i.e. Rock of Love, A Shot at love, A double Shot of Love, something about Loving New York, or even I love Money), are just plain and simple the worst shows ever!  Those shows and anything that even mentions FLAVOR FLAV!!! are horrific.  Though I did enjoy seeing how he was going to match his outfits with his clock necklace every show.  Really? a clock necklace?  C'mon, who would ever want to date a guy that wears a clock around his neck?  Oh, I almost forgot to mention "For the Love of Ray J"  Seriously VH1, you make the WORST shows ever.  Ray J had one cool song that was way overplayed which actually made it terrible.  He also boinked Kim Kardashian, and got it on tape.  Yep, that would be the guy who is looking for love.  Get over it, you suck at life, even though you and Kim had some fun together.  Oh and MTV, get rid of Parental Control, NEXT, and Room Raiders, because those are terrible too.  I'm sure I missed some so feel free to comment and let me know which ones I missed.

I am also interested in seeing the show called College Life or something like that.  It premieres on March 2nd.  It follows 4 college students through every second of every day and shows the world what college is like.  So, that should be interesting seeing how much different there college experience is going than mine is.

I wanted to say that Coke is DEFINITELY better than Pepsi, though Pepsi now has cooler cans.
